Beginner's Luck

Now that we have moved to our own little house, the next goal we have set for the family is to enjoy an Asian trip. We want to take advantage of the low fare promos of a commercial airlines here in the Philippines. In fact, I have registered to be able to receive information about their promos in my mailbox. We want to bring the kids to Hongkong Disneyland, so they have something to cherish and have a picture taken with huge Walt Disney mascots and fairy tales characters. Hubby and I would want to explore Macau and visit casinos and have a good time. I remember the first time John and I set foot to a casino in our town that happened several years ago, we are unaware how the games played in the casino including the slot machines, good thing casinos would hire staff friendly enough to accomodate our questions and explain the game to us and so we tried Bacarat and fortunately, we won 5 thousand pesos which is equivalent to a hundred US dollars. Hubby and I will definitely look forward to our Macau trip.

Valentine Celebration

Before the love month ends, allow me to share to you how I celebrated Valentines even if hubby is abroad. I celebrated it with friends and yummy food. My officemates and I decided to bring food in the office on Feb. 12 to celebrate the love month and the birthday of an officemate and a good friend Allan.

I was supposed to make tacos but because I was so busy supporting CJ in their foundation day, I decided to order one in WishingWell KTV, managed by a good friend. I have tried their taco dipping with specially made taco sticks and believe me once you pop, you can't stop. Collin baked lemon custard cake and boy it was so rich & delicious. It was like a lemon custard cake bought in a posh bakeshop in Manila. While Kit baked chocolate marshmallow cake that everybody loved and ate like little kids. The birthday celebrant ordered a creamy rich baked macaroni from TollHouse, a famous restaurant here in Angeles City that offers the best and affordable baked macaroni and cakes.

We started the shift with happy face and heavy stomach.

A different gift on Vday!

Happy Hearts Day Everyone!

Can't remember the last time I celebrated valentines day with hubby, all I know is every V day hubby is abroad but there was never a time he didn't greet me. John called me at 12 midnight just to greet me happy valentines, he said thank you to me for taking good care of our kids, he is super happy for what is happening to CJ & Acey. He assured me of his love & fidelity. After dinner tonight, I'm going to send him a long email to say my greetings...hehehe.

John and I actually received the best Valentine gift from our kids. CJ participated in their school foundation day and happened to represent grade 3 male students in the Mr. & Ms. MIS (Mary Immaculate School). A month before the event, CJ's class teacher have told me there will be talent portion in the contest and so my stress & problem started there. CJ is not used to sing or dance before a crowd, so I have to do some motivating, in fact he didn't want to join but I told him he should be thankful he was chosen, there are a lot of kids who wanted to join but was not given the chance. A student of my sister in law taught CJ some dance steps but my son is uncooperative during the practice so I took over the choreography. I showed him easy & uncomplicated steps. Fortunately, it was a closed door talent portion that happened last Thursday, only the judges, parents & supporters of the candidate were allowed to enter the room. It went well, though it was not the best dance during the talent portion, I still gave him a pat on the back.

The contest proper happened yesterday in Robinsons Angeles City. The theme of the foundation day was "Colors of the Wind", boys are wearing Capt. John Smith costume while the girls wore a Pocahontas costume. On the second part of the contest everybody was in their formal wear.

I am very impressed with the performance of CJ from ramping on stage to the Q & A portion. He won Mr. Photogenic, Best in Capt. John Smith costume & Best in Formal Wear. The contestants are actually wearing the same costumes & formal wear, I guess it has something to with how they carry themselves onstage. During the Q&A, the host revealed that the candidates doesn't have to give the correct answer to the question, the judges would want to see confident, honest & unscripted answer from the candidates. Honestly, I didn't practice CJ for the Q&A, I just told him to be polite when answering, look at the judges & be confident. I also told him there is no wrong or right answer so there is no reason for him not to reply. My son took it from there and he was proclaimed Mr. MIS 2009.

Today was the card distribution in Acey's school. My sister in law receive Acey's class card on my behalf 'coz I have to accomplish a lot of household chores. After a little one hour, I receive an SMS from my sister in law telling me that Acey is AGAIN rank 1 in their class for this third grading period.

I am so thankful & proud for the achievements of our kids. The happiness that my hubby and I are feeling right now is unexplainable. We are full of thank you & praises to our Lord above.

My Girl

Today my little girl Acey turned 6 years old. A pre celebration happened last February 02 which happens to be my mom's birthday too. And today I just cooked spaghetti and springrolls and I promised my daughter her birthday celebration next year will be a little bigger when she turns 7 years old. Hubby called lunchtime to greet Acey but she was still in school. He called again at 5pm and this time he was able to talk to our little girl.

Acey is a loving & obedient daughter. She's focused in her studies. Even if hubby works abroad and get the chance to be with us only when he comes home for a vacation, Acey is close to him, admitttedly, my daughter is a daddy's girl. The only thing that my little girl needs to overcome is her shyness and we agreed she will enrol in either a music or ballet class this summer.

Triple Celebration

My mom and Acey were born in the month of February while Nicole will turn 6 months old tomorrow. My mom turned 62 last February 02 while Acey is turning 6 years old on February 10. We decided for a one time celebration and we did it last February 02. We did not invite guest except for my mom`s 2 sisters and we prepared food good enough for the whole family.

My mom and I have been craving for Maja Blanca days before her birthday and so I decided to google the recipe in the internet and I made a trial Maja Blanca last February 01 and my family liked it so I made another one the next day.

Why choose Blog Advertising?

Advertising is a way of promoting something in the public such as product, service, business, or event to attract or increase interest in it. Advertising can be done in many ways or many forms. A lot of companies resort to TV or radio advertising to promote their product to intended consumers. I used to think that TV commercial is a powerful way to attract people to patronize a product especially if kids is involve. However, I realize now that in this age of computer and internet blog advertising is more powerful and effective.

Why do companies prefer blog advertising? Well, simply because it’s easy, fast and efficient. Companies do not need to personally talk to bloggers to promote their product or services, there are a lot of reliable blog advertising network company to choose from such as Paying Post. Blog Advertising Network company is responsible in bringing together advertisers & bloggers. Nowadays, there are vast number of bloggers all over the world and can easily write something about products or services through their blog by just simply putting a link of the website of the company and the target market can easily learn more about products or services through the power of the internet. Both advertiser & blogger gain something from blog advertising.

Happy for Britney

One time, me and my collegaues were having breakfast at our company canteen at the same time watching television. We saw Britney Spears' video "Womanizing" and we are happy to see a famous hollywood celebrity who have been to countless controversials and scandals slowly getting back in shape and putting back her career in the limelight in a positive way. We like the beauty of Britney and we believe in her talent. We think that staying in a Rehabilitation Center is a big factor for Britney to realize how much she is losing if she continue her bad habits. Hollywood celebrities or anyone hook to drugs or alcoholism should seek professional help from respective rehabilation centers such as drug rehab california. This way opportunities coming their way will not be put to waste. As for Britney Spears,it's never too late for a change for as long as it is sincere. Hoping to see more of the New Britney.
